Have you ever heard of a bio-alarm sleep clock? Chances are you probably haven’t. I first heard about these devices not too long ago myself and they seem pretty interesting. You will most likely see these devices nowadays on a phone app but bio-alarms have been around for many years now.
Some Phone App Bio-alarm Clocks
The whole purpose of this device is to wake you up while you are in your light stages of sleep. Why would you want to wake up at this exact time you ask? Well, when we wake up when we are in deep sleep we usually don’t feel that great, infant we usually just hit the snooze button and go back to sleep. The whole purpose of these alarms is to wake you up so you can get out of bed and feel refreshed.
Do These Alarms Really Work?
In theory they do, if you do wake up during light sleep you will have a easier time getting out of bed. I’m not sure exactly how the majority of these alarms detect when you are in light sleep though, I think most phone apps will try to detect your movement or something similar.
What I do know is that if you wake up at the same time everyday your body will almost get the same effect since its conditioned to get up at a certain time. I’ve always done this and its worked fine for me, so I’ve never had the need for one of these fancy alarm clocks.
Still, the idea sounds pretty neat. I think I’m going to grab one and try it on my phone, although I am not a fan of sleeping with my phone, I might as well give it a try.
